# History and Chats

## Saved History and Chats — Pick up right where you left off

Ever solve a tricky flow and then forget which files mattered? History keeps your conversations and traces so you can jump back in instantly — across repos.

## Why it’s useful

- Continue a deep dive without rebuilding context
- Share a link to a past trace with your team
- Compare how a flow changed over time

## What’s saved

- Your prompts and follow‑ups
- Cited files and snippets pulled during the chat
- Repo and branch context

## How to use it

1. Ask a question in any repo (“Trace login → session creation → DB writes”)
2. Click History to revisit the conversation later
3. Resume, fork, or share the thread

## Tips

- Name important threads so they’re easy to find later
- Pair History with the repo viewer to see cited files and context side‑by‑side

## Privacy

- You control your data. Remove any conversation at any time
