GitLab Support

GitLab support — Explore GitLab projects with ExplainGitHub

We’re expanding beyond GitHub. You can now explore GitLab repositories with the same repo‑aware answers and file citations you’re used to.

What you can do

  • Open a GitLab project and ask targeted questions
  • Get answers with exact file paths and functions
  • Review saved history to pick up right where you left off

How to try it

  1. Replace the domain with explaingithub.com on any GitLab project URL
  2. Ask a focused question (e.g., “Trace MR creation → pipeline trigger → artifact upload”)
  3. Click cited files to verify and continue

Notes

  • Public projects are supported today
  • Private projects may require connecting your provider account
